Drug & Alcohol

Current services include Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient services. The program utilizes evidenced-based therapeutic approaches to substance abuse/dependency treatment. Additional components of treatment offered are family/concerned others therapy, opioid replacement counseling, individualized aftercare planning, and recovery support services.

Outpatient

The Community Guidance Center offers several therapy options to address your needs. Outpatient Services are available to adults as well as children. An individual can participate in more than one therapy option.

Drug & Alcohol Certified Recovery

A CRS provides peer support services to individuals working towards recovery from drug and alcohol use. A CRS serves as a peer advocate, and provides information and support in emergency, outpatient, or inpatient settings. A CRS is a motivator, a mentor or a guide, and an advocate.

Developmental Disabilities Unit

The Developmental Disabilities Unit offers a wide range of services to individuals with intellectual disabilities as well as to their families and caregivers. Professionally trained Supports Coordinators assist individuals and families in obtaining services that are needed to meet basic needs and enhance independence. 

Partial Hospitalization Program

Adult Partial offers two types of treatment, Sub-Acute and Acute. Sub-Acute Partial meets 3 days a week, 6 hours a day and provides group therapy focused on many topics. Acute Partial meets 5 days a week, 6 hours a day. It is designed for an individual who is at the highest risk of hospitalization. The program pays special attention to Personal Medication Management and Illness Management and Recovery. Psychiatric services are provided within the program by our Psychiatrists.

Psychiatric Rehabilitation

Psychiatric Rehabilitation is a non-clinical adult program designed to promote recovery for people with psychiatric disabilities and encourage them to live more independently. The program offers groups in the domains of living, learning, social, vocational, and educational.

Psychiatric Services Department

Our Psychiatric Services Department at the Community Guidance Center (CGC) is comprised of Psychiatrists, Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners (CRNP), Physician Assistants (PA), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) depending on location where you are receiving your services.

Case Management

The Community Guidance Center’s Case Management Program is designed to assist adults or children (and their families) who have a serious mental illness or emotional disturbance in accessing resources and services which will allow them to live successfully in their home community.
