What is the Adult Partial Hospitalization Program?
The Adult Partial Hospitalization Program is an intensive treatment format offering group and individual psychotherapy. Family Therapy is also available.
Adult Partial offers two types of treatment, Sub-Acute and Acute. Sub-Acute Partial meets 3 days a week, 6 hours a day and provides group therapy focused on many topics. Acute Partial meets 5 days a week, 6 hours a day. It is designed for an individual who is at the highest risk of hospitalization. The program pays special attention to Personal Medication Management and Illness Management and Recovery. Psychiatric services are provided within the program by our Psychiatrists.
Who is the Adult Partial Hospitalization For?
To attend Adult Partial, the individuals must be at least 18 years of age whose primary disability is due to a mental health diagnosis. The individual must have safe transportation available.
How Does Adult Partial Hospitalization Help?
Adult Partial stabilizes acute mental health symptoms, while helping the individual gain an understanding of their diagnosis. The program also educates the individual on the effectiveness and side effects of medication. The therapeutic activities promote socialization and improve living skills so that the individual can smoothly transition back to previous treatment services.
