Who can receive services at Community Guidance Center?
Many people can receive services at Community Guidance Center! Our services accommodate all ages and the needs of many individuals requiring mental and behavioral health services due to a diagnosis. If you do not currently have a diagnosis, you may or may not receive one at Community Guidance Center through an initial screening process that encourages growth and change.
How do I enroll in services?
Contact Community Guidance Center by calling 888.686.1991 to get in touch with our staff to make a referral, discuss treatment needs and to schedule an appointment. Appointments are required.
What do I need to bring to my first appointment?
Be sure to bring the following items to your first appointment:
-Valid photo ID
-Valid current insurance card
-Payment for copay or other financial responsibility (cash, check, credit/debit card)
-List of all medications with dosages and prescriber's information
-Any records of previous treatment to help our staff provide you with necessary services and treatment
For children under the age of 14, the following are also required:
-Legal documents explaining custody arrangements such as court documents, custody agreements, etc.
-Name and contact information of the child's other parent if legal custody is shared
How do I pay for services?
Community Guidance Center accepts many major insurance carriers such as UPMC, Highmark and Aetna, and also accepts payments through public healthcare programs such as Medicare, Medicaid and CHIP. Accepted insurances vary by location. Financial assistance through various agencies or programs may be available to those who cannot afford services on their own. Contact your nearest Community Guidance Center office for more information.
What can I expect when I begin services?
Beginning services or treatment at Community Guidance Center includes an initial screening, or intake, process where your diagnosis will be evaluated or established to determine the best treatment options for your individual needs. You will see a doctor as soon as possible depending on need and availability. Your appointments and program enrollment are determined by your diagnosis, the schedule of your program and staff availability.
